How can i ask if i can keep these library books for one more day?

Just go to the librarian and tell her what happened and ask if it would be possible to have the books for one more day. Be sure to bring them with you just in case the answer is no. However, if you go and speak to the librarian in person and ask nicely you may be allowed one more day.
