Isn't this evidence Jesus rose from the dead?
Because a man came along who had the fervour and the energy to push the beliefs he acquired by a vision on the road to Damascus. Saul of Tarsus, a Roman citizen and Jewish apostate who changed his name to Paul. Christianity owes it's current existence to him, and to the fact that the Roman Empire made it possible for him to travel on its roads, all over the Mediterranean area and propagate the new religion. In those tumultuous and harsh times, religion and it's accent on better times ahead were far more urgent to people, and Paul's sheer persistence and effort established Christianity as a major, fast growing faith. Without Paul and the Roman Empire, Christianity would have remained an insignificant Jewish sect confined to a small section of the Middle East. So, you can blame it all on Paul.
